Periscope for Twitter?
Periscope, a live video streaming app for iOS and Android developed by Kayvon Beykpour and Joe Bernstein, has been purchased by Twitter.
This new app, lets you share and experience live video from your mobile phone.
For broadcasters, Periscope lets you share experience with others, instantly you can notify followers you’re live, and begin broadcasting. For viewers, Periscope is a new set of eyes and ears, a new way to experience wonderful possibilities from your own home. Viewers can influence broadcasters with messages, and sending hearts to express their interest.
Periscope has been described as “a visual pulse of what’s happening right now”. Periscope can provide instant connection to your audience. This function can help bloggers who aim to provide outlooks on daily routines or family life!
Bloggers can also do live Q&A’s and use this function to answer real time questions. Bloggers can also use this function to tag brands they’re discussing in real time, so products, brands and companies can view the real time review of a product! Since this streams through twitter, brands are also available to check out the bloggers post after the live stream.
As a blogger, this outlet gives you a whole new view for your audience. In the instance of a food blog, say you’re at a restaurant, experiencing a wonderful meal, learning a new culture, or perhaps even just cooking in your own home. With the push of a button you can connect to thousands of viewers, expressing and sharing your experiences live.
